Language Policies
As you develop your understanding about linguistic pluralism, it is important that you have language policies to support what you are (and will) do in your classrooms, as most school teachers and administrators are unaware of new linguistic practices and policies that support language teaching and learning. Using these policies provide you the appropriate language you will need to successfully engage in professional conversations about linguistic pluralism. Below you will find a few links to websites on language policies from major national language organizations. These same policies undergird all of the professional resources and development sessions in which you will engage.
